Program Description:
The Science of Philadelphia (SOP) is a live and interactive television series presented in collaboration with
the School District of Philadelphia. The show is designed to increase the interest and enrollment of
students in the areas of science and technology by presenting them in ways that are exciting,
entertaining, and fun. The series is co-hosted by scientist Grand Hank and Ambra Hook, director of
Science Education for the School District of Philadelphia.
Program Format:
Each week, Grand Hank and Director of K-12 Curriculum present students with lessons and experiments for the district’s
curriculum for 7th and 8th grades.
Target Audience: Ages 10-14 Duration: 1/2 Hour
