Topic 2: The Benchmarks Of A Successful Science Fair Project
Program Description:
This dynamic workshop is designed to help new and experienced teachers manage the multi-step process
required to develop successful science fair projects. This integrated approach incorporates easy step-by-
step directions, which sequentially provides teachers with guidance on how to maximize student interest
and participation in this important component of “science inquiry” by utilizing the “Scientific Method” when
approaching science. During this workshop we will identify key resources, strategies and best practices to
designing and developing successful student-based science fair projects, in addition to hosting your school
science fair. We cover all the bases: selecting topics, timelines, research, abstracts, constructing
boards, oral presentations and much more.
Target Audience: Grades K-8 & 9-12
Duration: 2 hours, Half day or Full Day Workshops
