Topic 1: Turning Students On To Science Using
Hip-Hop Music And Hands-On Demonstrations
Program Description:
This high-energy workshop is designed to help new and experienced teachers, teach hands-on science
with impact. This workshop will show teachers how to integrate important science content with hands-on
demonstrations and use Hip-Hop music to make it stick. This multimedia, hands-on approach incorporates
“Multiple Intelligence” and “Inquiry-Based” teaching and learning strategies. The goal is to provide
teachers with the tools to peak the interest of hard-to-reach and even harder-to-interest students,
and raise their level of science proficiency. This workshop guarantees to
engage, challenge and get teachers excited about teaching science at all levels.
Target Audience: Grades K-8 & 9-12
Duration: 2 hours, Half day or Full Day Workshops
