Topic 1: The Science Lab of Grand Hank Live Science Demonstrations
Program Description:
The Live Science assembly program is a spin-off of the television series, “Science Lab of Grand Hank,”
which is produced in collaboration with the School District of Philadelphia. This traveling assembly
program is developed around the National Standards for Science Education. The presentation is designed
to help students get a handle on the fundamentals of science and to peak the interest of hard-to-reach
and even harder-to-interest students. The program format uses a multi-media
presentation that combines hip-hop music with science to create an electric atmosphere conducive to
unlocking “Teachable Moments” for educators.
Target Audience: Grades K-8 & 9-12
Duration: 1 Hour
