Kids will love this rap video.
Chemist and educational
rapper Grand Hank (Co-host of the Science Lab of Philadelphia
TV show and former Johnson
& Johnson research
chemist) first performs a rap
song and then follows it up with a three to five-minute positive
reinforcement "lecture" explaining the topics of rap.
His points are well made; organized, cogent, and worded so all
students can understand them easily. The various raps and
thought- provoking lectures include the value of education, how
to get hyped up for doing one’s best in school, the eight
parts of speech, African-American scientists, the many good
things African-Americans have done, and how to be a scientist
(study hard). Filmed in concert in several school venues, this
video will appeal to and motivate lazy learners turned off by
education. Great for showing to in school suspension regulars
and those with attitude problems (you may need to show it to
them twice), as well as to the general student population for
motivation. Buy this refreshing and motivational film supporting
education. - Scott Johnson, Whittemore Park Middle School,
